India VCM Explorer is an independently maintained, self-funded public research resource. The site does not display advertising, use advertising networks, sell user data, or use personal information for targeted advertising.

We use Google Analytics 4 only after a visitor chooses to allow analytics. When enabled, Google Analytics may collect page visits, general device and browser information, approximate geographic region, session information, and interactions with the site. We use this information only to understand aggregate site usage and improve the platform. Advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalization, and Google Signals are disabled.

We do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, uploaded files, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics.

Files added through the Workspace, including GeoJSON, KML, zipped shapefiles, CSV and GeoTIFF files, are processed locally in the user's browser and are not uploaded to India VCM Explorer.

A small first-party preference cookie is used to remember whether analytics was accepted or rejected. This preference cookie is not used for advertising or analytics. Visitors can change their analytics choice at any time from the Privacy & analytics settings link in About.

India VCM Explorer has deliberately remained free of advertising and advertising-based tracking. The platform is self-funded so that access to its data and analytical tools does not depend on monetizing visitor activity.
